The brain, no doubt, poses a most exciting and challenging riddle to mankind. Our aspiration is to join worldwide efforts to solve this riddle. Our immediate goal is to study how neurons, neuronal populations and neuronal networks in the cortex control of purposeful actions. The research involves computational, psychophysical and electrophysiological approaches. Combining these approaches we hope to improve the understanding principles of sensorimotor learning. For details see Projects.

The interdisciplinary center for neural computation

The goal of the multi-disciplinary doctoral program is to train students to address various aspects of computation and information processing in the brain. This rapidly growing field is at the forefront of the sciences and technology.
